Camera Survey Permit Application

PLEASE READ THIS CAREFULLY BEFORE COMPLETING THE REQUEST

As stated in Administration Rule Title 5 Part 2 Chapter 2.4, a permit is available for wildlife camera surveys at no cost.  Any feed or feeding method may be used during the permit period.  The permit is valid only outside the deer and turkey hunting seasons for a specific property and for no longer than 21 consecutive days.  All feed must be completely removed 10 days prior to hunting.  These permits will be issued for legitimate camera surveys only.  A permit is not required for persons wanting to take photos over feeders, salt/mineral licks, food plots, or trails.  Permits are only required if camera stations will have bait poured, piled, or placed onto the ground.  Click here for a copy of Administration Rule Title 5 Part 2 Chapter 2.4.

All permit requests will be approved/denied by the MDWFP Deer Committee.  If you enter a valid email address you will receive your permit and directions for use via email.  If no email is entered, your permit and directions for use will be mailed to you via the US Postal Service.  No permits will be given over the telephone.  No camera surveys may begin prior to receiving the permit.
